1 year postpartum and no period
So I'm concerned that I haven't had a period yet. My son is now 1 years old and a breastfed baby. Since I am ready to start working on baby #2 I've significantly reduced breastfeeding (like 2-3 times a day) in the hopes that my period would come back but still no sign of it. Anyone else having this issue and what are you doing about it?
My gyno suggested that I begin Yasmin birth control to see if we could induce my period so I'll be starting the pill today. I forgot to ask if it would be safe to continue breastfeeding - Is it safe to be on the pill while breastfeeding? I don't mind having a lower supply since I would gradually like to wean my son and have always had an oversupply issue...but I just don't want the content of my milk to be harmful.
