feeling like I caught a cold at 39 weeks...what to do?

Today 39 weeks I have a sore throat stuffy nose I drank some tea but I don't think it helped very much...what should I do? Will this affect the baby?

Thanks so much for replying! I'll have to wait till Monday to talk to doctor I'll definitely keep the hot liquids coming. Really sucks feeling like this lol I guess if it's a sign of pre term labor bring it on lol nothing we can't handle right? lol hope you feel better soon!

I've had a stinking cold for the last few days (caught at 37+4, now 38 weeks); but I am the only one who seems to have one in the whole house, and I have not been outside! 😭

I've done some reading, and colds are not harmful to baby, just uncomfortable for us. it also seems to be quite a common thing, and some people seem to suggest it's a sign or prelabor? (Not sure whether to believe that or not).

Ask your doctor before taking any medicines or supplements. I'm not taking anything, as decongestants really hurt my stomach, but I've found hot drinks really help to clear my airways; a nice cup of tea is really soothing.

If I wasn't pregnant, I'd be drinking lots of Haldi Ka Doodh (turmeric milk) but that is not a good idea during pregnancy!
