Baby Zayn is here!

Baby Zayn made his appearance on his due date May 31st at 10:15 pm. We are so in love 😍
This may be a bit long, but i've been waiting for this all pregnancy so here goes. I started feeling contractions on and off at 39 weeks, they would appear at night just before bed, some times stronger than others but I knew they weren't the real thing since they were inconsistent and would subside after I went to bed. I however knew I was getting closer. My last OB visit was at 39 weeks and 2 days, I was 1 cm dilated and cervix was really soft, baby's head was low. My OB said I would probably go into labor within the next few days possibly sooner than my due date. This made me really excited and nervous, it's finally happening. During this time, my husband and I walked alot especially at night to try and get baby moving. At 39 weeks and 6 days I lost my mucus plug at around 11 am, that night I felt period pain. The next morning I woke up at 8:40 to more period pain and felt the urge to pee as I have been getting up multiple times per night to pee and suddenly felt a gush of water 😮 my water broke! I waddled to the bathroom as I told my husband my water had broke, he immediately got up and was like "okay lets go to the hospital". I was like I need to shower and get ready, I knew I had an hour or two to get the hospital. My water contined to gush out, as I sat on the toilet. I then showered, got dressed packed last minute items in my bag, took a few mirror photos of my 40 week belly and went to the hospital. At this point period pain was still there and was slowly getting stronger. I was admitted at about 10:30 am. I got into my gown, they started an IV and checked for dilation. I was 2 cm and cervix was 85% thinned out. I slowly started feeling contractions and by 3 pm I was 6 cm dilated, the pain became unbearable so I decided it was time to get the epidural. That felt like heaven and I was able to relax. By 7:50 pm, I was fully dilated and was ready to push. Little did I know that this would be the hardest part for me. After 2 hours and 10
minutes of non-stop pushing baby Zayn was born weighing 7 lbs 9 oz and 19.5 inches. My heart was beating and life was complete. I cant even begin to describe the emotion I felt and the amount of uncontrollable tears flowing down my cheeks after pushing him out and having him placed on me. His body was so warm and it all felt so surreal. It's the best feeling in the world and definitely the most memorable event in my life. Something to look forward to and cherish in life. ♥️
Meet my love, baby Zayn
