Get Further Testing before Giving Up
We found out yesterday my husband has bilateral varicocele. When the Dr found out he had an identical twin he asked us to call him up (he was already with us at the Dr) so that they both could be part of a clinical trial! He said it's rare to get identical twins, so nonetheless the test were all free, but my husbands surgery will be costly if we do it now since his insurance isn't good. I must've asked a million questions to the Dr. & he politely answered them ALL! This Dr is world reknown here in Houston & we were referred. I was nervous bc I read reviews where he was short with patients (like spends 5mins and then he is gone), however we stayed there for 3hrs!! 😂 Literally laughing & joking with the dr & office staff and having test ran. My husband's SA improved from 350K to 900K and 1.1M to 3.9M. Not sure if it's from his vitamin cocktail alone with high water consumption. The Dr said "We will get your babies" ❤️ He also did a genetics test and follow up hormone test. I told him my husband was prescribed clomid which he didn't take & he said "Clomid wouldn't have helped your situation because of your vein issue and your hormones are only elevated because of that...I can't stand when those Dr's do that bc they know nothing about male infertility and they never properly diagnose the real problem". He gave us vitamins called XSeed which he pioneered. We are so at peace now knowing "why"! Did I mention his twin had varicocele surgery last year? So whatever it is, it seems to have effected them both. I told the Dr "We don't want to do IVF 😩" he sweetly replied "I don't do IVF" ... He is confident and knows his stuff. He's been handling male infertility for over 40yrs! His name is Larry Lipshultz.
But I'm really thankful to God for being with us and evening providing for us to test free of charge. I know He will make a way for the surgery whether improved benefits or us just continuing to save for it. I will keep y'all updated. Be encouraged as I am & have the test done!
