Guys!!! 
I know this is a period and life app but if any of you girls own an axi and know anything about them. I'd love your help!! My jemima has small pebbles on the bottom of the tank. I know the risk of them eating them and dying. But idk what to swap to?! I don't want to have nothing on the bottom of the tank. I heard sand is good. Also lately she's gotten rather fat. I would definitely take the pebbles out right away! There should be a lot of information for what to put down on either online groups for knowledgeable owners or at the place you got it

I was obsessed with these guys until I researched and decided they weren't a great pet for me! Still love them though. Jemima is super cute!! I think fine sand that they can filter through their gills or digestive system works, or pebbles too big for them to swallow.

Pebbles are fine, she will know the difference from pebbles and her food. She looks well fed not fat lol
