How to accept your stretch marks?

When I was younger, I grew at a fast rate and ate a lot of food (ended up being a little chubby lol). 
This caused me to gain a ton of different stretch marks all over, stomach, breast, thighs, etc. at a young age. I used to get upset and about it, which made me try all the different remedies to get rid of them, but no luck (they'll fade at most, but won't fully go away). 
To this day, I still get really insecure about them.... and I know it's natural and everything, it's just something I'm not fully comfortable with yet.
I just wanted to know how other women that are accepting of their stretch marks got to that point, and what are some steps to fully accepting them?
