I loved the Nuva ring. It was easy to use and it worked well with my hormones. I also did good on a few pills. Other polls not so much. No one can tell you which BC is for sure not going to have you gaining weight. You need to openly discuss all options with your doctor. And they will help best determine what will be a good fit for you. And if you don't feel good or notice weight gain or anything wrong, contact him and get switched to something else. The hormones in BC affect everyone differently and it can take trying several thing before finding what's right for you.

I hated both. I'm currently on the birth control patch and love it. I've have very minimal symptoms and no weight gain.

I liked the NuvaRing because it has less hormones than the pill, but I kept getting UTIs! I wasn't putting it far in enough, but once I was off of it I felt so much better in every way so I decided to just stay off. I have a copper IUD now because I don't want to deal with hormones ever again!
