Ambulance drivers?

What does it mean when an ambulance doesn't have lights flashing or a siren but the back light is on and you see the EMT doing what seems to be chest compressions?

The person in the back may already be dead but once they start compressions they can't really stop as some EMT cannot call time of death. They'll take them to the ER where a doctor can call it.

It prob wasn't chest compressions? I'm assuming if they're in the middle of trying to resesitate they'd have sirens? But that seems kinda obvious so no idea🤷🏻‍♂️

You can request no sirens when you call for an abulance. Or (usually in hospice cases or when people are very old) they can request that any time an ambulance is called to their home, they don't use sirens or lights. This might be because they don't want to worry or disturb the neighbors.

They give each situation a level, if your not high enough you don't get lights or sirens. But they'll turn they're hazards on to make people more aware they are there

I think some disorders would get worse if hey used sirens or lights but I'm not sure

Depends where they are. Some areas have noise restrictions so they only use them in heavy traffic then.
