It depends. Is your ex single? Are you single? Was the breakup amicable? What was the reason your broke up? Do you think they have any interest in reconciliation? It's pretty normal to have lingering feelings after a relationship ends, but it's important to differentiate between whether you WANT to get back together and whether you SHOULD.

There is not clear cut answer to this question. If you broke up there had to be a reason if that was their reason or your reason I don't know. If it is their reason. I would say you have to do all you can to come to terms with the fact that you can no longer belong to them, however they will always have a peice of your heart. Give them that little piece then let the rest of your heart let them go. This is something that I understand completely but I know is very hard. I will always love my ex and although it's been 8 months the wound is not quite healed. I'm with someone new but that doesn't take away the pain. I've sorted myself out and it's not like I long for him or anything, but the sweet memories are sometimes hard to face. It's something that depends on the situation and what happened to lead up to where you are now. I hope this helps out!!
