Husband visiting someone in the maternity room alone

My husband wants to go see his friend's baby in the hospital alone (they are more his friends than they are mine). I know it shouldn't be a big deal but I was hoping the first time he's at the hospital to see a baby it would be his child but so far we've had zero luck conceiving. I was open about it with him yesterday about how I watch the share that special moment with him and it bothers me that he wants to go and see her alone and he said that he understands but today while we were both at work he messages me and says he plans on stopping by after work to see the baby so I kind of feel duped. Am I being reasonable or insensitive?
