Depo, Then Nexplanon, Now Never-Ending Period
I was on Depo-Provera for 1.5 years. Sometime in October 2016 was the last time I got the shot, so when December rolled around I had already decided I was done getting Depo and didn't get another one like I was supposed to.
January 2017 arrives and as Depo-Provera is leaving my system, I'm menstruating like crazy. Almost 60 days in a row of nonstop bleeding. I finally got to see an OB/GYN before I hit 60-consecutive-days of bleeding, and had the Nexplanon implant inserted February 7th.
The day after Nexplanon was placed in my arm, my period stopped completely (HALLELUJAH!).
Fast forward to April. This was the first time I had a period since getting Nexplanon inserted into my arm, and it was heaps longer than my regular periods, which had always been 5-6 days long (before I started BC). It finally ended on the 14th day but I continued to see frequent and light spotting.
And then BOOM, at the end of May I start menstruating AGAIN. It's still going strong and it's now on a 26-day streak (I guess it's trying to beat my almost 60-day record).
I need help, y'all.
Has anyone been in a similar position? Should I see a GYN asap? My established OB/GYN transferred to a different facility entirely so I'm just wondering if I should get a new GYN established asap if my weird cycle is cause for worry.
