Drink all the soda i want?

My o.b told me I can drink all the soda I want.. And it doesn't sound right to me, I thought you were supposed to limit yourself on caffeine?... Idk maybe I'm being paranoid? What did you're o.b tell you guys?... And don't be bashing on me, I've had alot of rude comments lately whenever I have a question or concern... There is no need to be disrespectful...

Not bashing you, but kinda the OB. That seems a bit crazy. Caffeine aside, think of all of that sugar. I would stay away from it. A lot of women say a can a day really helped with nausea. If you are used to drinking a lot try to cut back or keep it to one a day. I am pretty sure they advise against diet sodas due to the fake sugar so that's not a great substitute.  I stopped drinking diet a few years back and realized I wanted the bubbles. Try flavored seltzer water and see if that works for you!

I would say in moderation. Water is better but pop every once in a while is okay. The Dr saying as much as you want is kind of open ended and I can see why it lead to confusion.

Every obgyn and office is different.  However,  most do in fact tell u to limit caffeine to max 250 ml a day (2 cups) and to limit ur soda intake as much as possible.

It's like 250 mg a day. A 20 oz Pepsi has like 53 mg. So if you drank 5 of those you'd be at your limit. But I personally don't know many people that drink that much Pepsi a day.

I would say don't do it, all the soda you want???? Seriously I did that and I got gestational diabetes, and I regret it so bad just for my stubbornness ( that I eat for two yea right).. it's your body and your baby you do what ever u want.. from my view I did it and I ended up with diabetes witch is not in my family!. And I'm 38-3 days days!... and I check my blood 4 times a day witch is not fun at all!...:

Yes limit Caffeine to 200mg but you can drink caffeine soda. For the most part that is all the soda I drink. I is rare that I have a soda with caffeine in it.

My Ob told me only a certain amount a week , &a drink LOTS of water on top of it. Soda can make you dehydrated.

Not all sodas have caffeine so maybe that was a general statement? I'm not sure but still one should worry about sugar intake. I think everything in moderation should be ok. I didn't consume much caffeine before getting pregnant so my biggest concern is sugar, I have a sweet tooth! 😁
