How could a 15 year old girl support her baby? My mama said I can't have my baby because I can't support it, which is true. I'm 14 now and I'd be 15 if and when I have my baby. My mama said I'm a failure, now my sister had a baby at 16 and turned 17 a couple months after her baby was born. It was hard but now her baby girl is 8 and happy! I'm attached to my baby, ya know? I don't know what to do I need advise because I have a medication abortion appt. set up for June 24th. Please give me some answers anything!?

Don't feel forced to do anything you don't want to do, but really think long and hard about how you want to move forward.  You have a week or two to figure things out, and make a plan for how to move forward.

If you choose to keep the baby, it will be very difficult at your age, especially since your mom isn't supporting you. There are resources out there if you look, but you'll have to put that effort in, and you'll have to accept that your childhood is over. Your life will be all about raising your child.  That doesn't mean you are a failure, or doomed to struggle forever, but it does mean a hard road ahead. There are success stories, and there are resentment stories with this option.

If you terminate, you could come to regret it, or you could come to see it as a good thing down the line. Since you feel pressured into it, you may also come to resent your mom and it causes issues. The big thing here is it would allow you the chance to finish your childhood, though how much it will change you for bad or good is to be seen.

There is a third option which is the middle road, you could choose to continue with the pregnancy and give your baby up for adoption. Open adoptions are more common now, which could allow you to keep in touch with the adoptive family as the baby grows if that's what you and the parents want. You might feel guilty, or you might feel like you did the right thing, you won't know until it's over and the reasons you choose to give up your baby will play into that.

None of these choices are easy, all of them will change you for better or worse and regardless of what you choose your life will never be the same. You are in a difficult place, facing an impossible choice, but it should be the choice YOU make for yourself and your child and that you can live with, not one made for you.

I got pregnant with my son when I was 14 gave birth to him 2 months after I turned 15. It is pretty hard. Think about it you can't even get a job at that age to support your baby but there is a lot of help for the ppl who are in need of it and God is good. You are not a failure. You are young and we're irresponsible but here u have a gift from God a little life inside of u and that is nothing to be ashamed of! Do what u gotta do you and your baby will be fine

I just want to add in my two cents real quick- if you DO decide to give it up for adoption, PLEASE actively find someone so that you actually have a family lined up for the baby. Do not just throw your baby into the system and hope for the best, because the system if extremely broken. I was a foster child until I was 7 years old, and I can't even tell you how many shitty houses I got thrown into. In one of the houses, one of the other foster kids got beaten with a high chair just because she went on a walk without letting the adults know. The people in the system who are SUPPOSED to protect the children are often oblivious or just straight up neglectful. So if you do decide to go the route of adoption, please do it in the safest way possible!

First, I want you to know I am praying for you and for God to change your mother's heart. That child is no accident. Surprise, maybe...but created by God and is a blessing. If you do not think keeping the baby would be best for the child, you could be such a blessing to a couple who would die to be in your shoes! Adoption is one of the most selfless and loving things a person can do. Please do not make any decisions based on fear or pressure. Give this child a chance at life!
