I'm trying to figure out if what happened with my boyfriend was abusive or not. We recently went on a road trip. While he was driving I was on my phone taking pictures and looking up cool places we drove past. At one point when we were stuck in traffic I caught up on the news. I didnt feel like I was being rude. But later that night when we stopped to eat dinner he exploded. He raised his voice and said why the fuck did I go on the trip if I was going to be on my fucking phone the entire time!? I explained what I was doing. He said, it didn't take that long to take a fucking picture.

I've asked him before not to curse if he's upset with me before, but he did anyway. His excuse is it's ok because it's not directly aimed at me. But still, I feel its threatening.
