When can I hear the heartbeat?

So I have my first midwife appt tomorrow. I will be 9wks3d. Do you think I'll be able to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler or is it still too early?? I'm just so excited lol

I couldn't hear mine at 9 weeks, I did get to the heart flickering tho. Heard the heartbeat at 11 weeks.

It's pretty early with a doppler only! Some women can hear it, but don't freak out if she can't find it. It's usually hard to find (even for professionals) until 12 weeks.

You should be able to hear it unless you think you are further along then you actually are. I saw mine at 8 weeks but not at 6weeks. I will actually hear it at 12 weeks. My ultrasound tech said they don't play the sound for some reason. I didn't ask. 😊 good luck!
