Birth Center Tour
I toured the birthing center in our town and interviewed a midwife today. It was AMAZING! The birth rooms are so nice. Big beds and huge tubs in every room. I thought the staff we met were really friendly and helpful.
I have pregnancy Medicaid which unfortunately they don't take, but they did offer me a huge discount. With everything it came to just under $3000 which I didn't think was bad at all.
As soon as the door shut behind us my boyfriend was cursing and yelling about how much he hated it. He said the people were condescending and there was no way he was going to help me pay for that place.
I obviously want him to be happy with the place we go just as much as me, but I'm crushed. I was so excited about a natural birth and going home the same day and being able to labor however I pleased. I'm just really disappointed that he wasn't as taken with it as I was.
It's my first baby so I'm not going to know any different from my hospital birth. I'm still going to take my birth plan and hope for the best.
