Hey guys diamond here, just curious how many weeks do you have to be to start taking prenatal pills or gummies I don't have my prenatal appointment until I'm 8w but does that mean I have to wait to start taking them or should I already be taking no them I'm 4w 6d currently.

I have been taking them since TTC. Folic acid is most required during the neural development stage the first 2 to 3 months of pregnancy, so I would suggest starting immediately! A little frustrating that they don't stress the importance of this even before the first appointment.

Most doctors suggest women take them even while they're trying to get pregnant. It's just a little boost in vitamins. It won't hurt anything.

It's recommended to take the while TTC that way the baby has the nutrients from the get go. It won't harm the baby if you haven't started yet but definitely start now. I personally didn't like the gummies too fishy flavor for me. Make sure you get ones with folic acid and DHA- as not all contain them.

Doesn't hurt to take them even before you find out. So whichever one doesn't make you nauseas go right ahead. My last pregnancy I couldn't keep the pills down so doctor told me 4 kids Flintstone gummies every day. Sounds odd but my daughter never had any issues in womb and now is top of her class. Thank goodness they make prenatal gummies now. Hahaha But Yes, go ahead and start. I started the week before my BFP.
