What due date to go by?

Last period day was August 28, 2016. Dr said due date was June 10 at my first appointment.
Anatomy scan at 22 weeks said due date was June 9.
Changed offices and the Dr has switched my due date to June 14th out of nowhere and is sticking to it. I don't know how they got that number.

It is now June 12th, I'm a first time mom. I lost my mucus plug twice, had my membranes stripped last week. I've had painless contractions and menstrual like cramps, but nothing else. I am a little more than 1 cm dilated.

The farther along you get, the easier it is to tell the due date, so I would say what the doctor is saying now (14th) is the due date, because they often adjust it once it starts getting near the end. The reason your anatomy scan said something different is because that is what your baby was measuring at that specific appt. In my first trimester, everytime I had an ultrasound (which was often because I was seeing a fertility specialist) the "due date" was different, which always confused me, but they assured me that you always stick to the first day of your last period, unless, like I said before, they adjust it once you start getting close. But congratulations!!! It will be any day now! I'm 37+5 but I don't really feel like labor is coming soon.. (at least not soon enough, lol!)

Answer

Ultrasounds are always most accurate. While a doctor is measuring generally the baby in relation to you. For my doctor, she measures from the top of my pelvic bone to the top of my uterus. This can be skewed since there may be organs placed oddly, the placenta, and baby may be in a different position. I was originally June 20 but an ultrasound showed June 26th.
