My 8 year old got into some big bad trouble yesterday so today he's raking the front yard. Because he has disapline issues and difficulty focusing I've been sitting outside all day watching him making sure he does his job. We've actually had a great day today lol. He's focused on the task and doing a fabulous job!! I know that he's got some "issues" (ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) type behavior) but he's learning self discipline and consequences of inappropriate actions. We've basically just hung out all day while he rakes. I'm actually really very proud of him. He's not fighting or screaming at me like usual and actually focused on the task that he needs to do. It's been a great day and my yard looks beautiful and amazing!! We've had a great day. We've laughed and joked. Drank lots of water and ice tea. It's supposed to be punishment but I it doesn't feel like it. I just feel like I'm having a great day with my baby boy. Special needs just means extra special ⭐️ ❤️
