What could it really be??
First off I just started the birth control pill Apri about 3 weeks ago because I had been bleeding 4 months straight. It stopped once I started this birth control which I was relieved by because for some reason Yaz wasn't helping. Anyways I am about to end my 3rd week tomorrow so I should expect my period soon. A few days ago, I noticed discharge and it wasn't alot but I assumed it must be that I'm ovulating. I have felt moister than normal which I was thankful for because my PCOS has caused me to have some issues with dryness. I hadn't thought much of it until I went to get my pap smear yesterday. While in the process, the doctor asked if I had any symptoms of a yeast infection. I instantly freaked out, I didn't have any symtpoms of a yeast infection at all and have never had 1. I was starting to get fed up because that was the second time in a row that I had a freak out at my gyno. The time before I had got my cervix pinched and was in serious pain. She said it seems I might have a mild yeast infection but since I don't have symptoms its probably nothing to worry about. Being me, I freaked out completely asking what would happen if it is and could it go away on it's on blah blah blah and she stated again it's probably nothing to worry about, it could also be BV which made me worry even more. I take care of my hygiene because my body is pretty sensitive, I can only use certain products down there to keep it from being irritated. I don't get UTIs or any other infection. I can't help but wonder if it's from the birth control because that's the only difference in how I take care of my body. I even tried going inside and scooping out whatever she had seen and I've mostly seen a little bit of milky white discharge with little to no odor.
What I'm really trying to say is....has anyone been told they might have something from their gyno and have it be something totally different? Is it possible that it really is a yeast infection or possibly just my body cleaning itself or just ovulation. Has anyone experienced something similar...feeling like its an infection and seeing discharge that appears normal?
