Is loss of pregnancy symptoms a sign of miscarriage? UPDATE of UPDATE
I'm 6 weeks along today. Had an u/s at 5weeks5days and they saw gestational sac (measured 5 weeks 5 days although 6 weeks 5 days according to LMP), yolk sac and fetal pole but, no heartbeat. I've been scheduled for another scan exactly a week from the first one to check for fetal h/b. Today, I noticed that my pregnancy symptoms are less- boobs not so sore, m/s almost mild where it was relentless and severe until yesterday and when I wipe, it's a very light pink; I also had some very mild cramping. Saw the doctor (not my usual one who's usually more reassuring) and he told me that based on what I've told him and the lack of fetal h/B that I'm in the beginning stages of a m/c. I've read elsewhere that this can also be completely normal! So confusing. What has other people's experiences been? Anybody experience a drop in 'pregnancy symptoms' and then proceed to have a normal pregnancy?
UPDATE
It's a miscarriage. I'm not bleeding proper, still only spotting which I had last night but, it has since reduced. One major giveaway is that I no longer feel pregnant, just still a little nauseous but that seems to be disappearing also. I will be having my HCG checked end of next week to make sure all remnants of my pregnancy have gone after which I guess we'll try again. I've been consulting with the GP all thru this, of course. I've been reassured by recent findings that trying again within 3 months of a miscarriage, the pregnancy is more likely to be successful. I wish all the mothers to be a successful journey and hope to be back on glow logging my pregnancy milestones again! Xxx
LATEST UPDATE
We went in for our scheduled scan even though one of the doctors told me to cancel as the baby will probably have gone anyway and we have a viable baby still! Saw the heartbeat and all. I guess you shouldn't always believe what the doctors tell you. It was reckless by the doc to say with certainty that I was miscarrying even though it was only spotting. Helps having females as doctors who've had kids too, I guess. And sometimes, your instincts can be coloured by what you've been told as I was convinced I was no longer pregnant. All in all, great news after a roller coaster week!
