First Dr. Appointment/blood work

Hi ladies! So I've been reading a lot of posts from here where people are saying they have their HCG levels tested at their first doctor visit after finding out their pregnant. I just had my blood work appointment this past Tuesday, and I was very excited to hear what the results were. They took 10 tubes of blood 🤢 but luckily as long as I don't watch it's no problem for me. Anyway, two days later I called to find out how long it takes to get the results back on my levels to make sure everything looks good, and while they told me that so far all of the results that came back were normal, that they don't actually check HCG levels unless there was a specific reason to. I was a little disappointed since I kind of though that was common practice based on how many others seem to be getting that done. My first ultrasound is on the 29th, so I'll be very excited/anxious to hear the heartbeat, but I had also assumed I'd be having some kind of reassurance after them doing all the blood tests. Has anyone else not had their HCG levels tested even after going for their first visit? Maybe it's only in some areas or just by the certain doctors opinion on wether or not it gets tested? Maybe I'll be peeing on another stick to calm myself if I need to lol 🙈
