12 weeks pain in lower abdomen

I'm 12 weeks 1 day and for the past 4 or 5 days I've been getting random pains sometimes shooting pain other times sort of dull achey pain. I called my doctor and they said it's normal and is probably round ligament pain and my uterus stretching. Has anyone else experienced this? I want to hear from other mamas that it's normal!!
