I regret the way I lost my virginity

I have recently lost my virginity with a guy I do not love. Which, before to me wasn't a big deal. I just wanted a guy that would respect me and treat me sweet after he took my virginity, I  don't have to love him. And I found that. I don't love him and don't think I ever could, but he didn't treat me like shit afterwards. In fact, he has developed feelings for me. After we had sex he hugged me for a really long time. It was sweet and all but I couldn't help but feel sad. I wish I would of given my virginity to someone I loved, then maybe I would be thriving in a relationship instead of trying to avoid one.
