Professionals, Do you make opinion posts on facebook?

I feel when I post my opinion...I piss people off.  I wonder if I am badly affecting my career.

I've stated my professional opinion on Facebook before. But nothing I say is rude or not backed by scientific research. I'll avoid highly controversial topics and topics that are unrelated to my profession. But as a member of the veterinary profession I have defended fellow members, stood up for the food animal industry by providing correct information and discrediting the crap that gets posted. I will also never diagnose an animal but provide possible solutions/hypothesises and then inform people to take their animal to the vet. I'm very careful with what I say- I've never been reprimanded, but I have been congratulated and thanked before.

Yes, but....
- My Facebook doesn't contain my full/real name
- I am not friends on FB with anyone I currently work with
- I don't post anything too specific (no names of people I work with)

I definitely post opinions! That's what personal social media is for! But I keep media and work separate.

I only  have my business  acct on FB activated,  so no I really don't,  unless its not to dramatic where the comments will be back and forth
