Positive or evap?

I was training a new tech at work today. We were walking through sample collection and testing. I was her Guinea pig. Some of us are saying evap, some positive. I'm over here dumbfounded. 
P.S - it is more pink in person. I'm saying evap. All of us nurses and even doctors are divided!
