What to do with some salmon I found

I'm relatively new to all this, My fiancé and I have been plant based for five months now. I found four cans of salmon in my pantry and I'm not sure what to do with it. It feels wrong to just throw it away. I have a cat and I looked it up and washed canned salmon seems to be ok for a treat. (No, I will not have my cat or any other pet of mine go vegan that's not ok to me.) There's also a food shelf like 45 min from me. Is that silly to drive that far to donate a few cans of fish? Curious what you'd do.
