Too light??

My husband and I have been TTC for 23 months. Never so much as a vvfl in the entire time. I was supposed to get my period on Wednesday and tested Friday with a strip test. I tossed it after a minute because I thought it was negative. I fished it out of the garbage this morning like a raccoon and there was a vvfl. So I took another strip test and there was an even fainter line. So I went to Wal-greens and bought a test. It's definitely positive, but is it too light for missing a whole period??
