Biggest issues facing LGBT+ members?

I know I've been doing a lot of LGBT topics, but it's pride month!!!

Anyways: what do you think are the biggest issues facing LGBT+ members today?

Bonus question: how do you suggest we fix it?

-Exclusivity in the community. White, gay people have the most visibility in the community. Other sexualities/gender identities usually come second to homosexuality, POC and people with disabilities are often erased from the community.

-the acceptance of sugar coated LGBT+ phobia. It creates a place where intolerance can breed and become more harmful.

-lack of proper and inclusive media representation.

I'm agreeing with rogue with exclusivity within the community. Gay white men seem to be the the group used as visual representation for the entire community despite lots of it not even being about sexuality, and within the gay/lesbian/even bi communities as well there's still massive issues with transphobia which is pretty ridiculous but 🤷‍♂️ somehow it still happens. I know many gay men who  make sure everyone knows that they're part of the lgbtq+ community but can only tell you what the LGB actually stand for, and that's quite disappointing that they won't put any effort into the rest of their community.
This is more for places like America and whatnot, and something that I see a lot of online. Obviously there are WAY bigger and more dire issues lgbt+ people face in the rest of the world, that can even cost their lives, along with many places still not even having marriage equality like America.

1. Only recognizing gay and lesbian sexualities and dismissing bisexual, pan asexual, trans etc people. My boyfriends mom is like "nope you just can't figure out what you want" and I'm like no I know. I just like everyone.

2. Entirely ignoring trans people's identity

For example "I wouldn't date a trans guy because I'm not lesbian", that's not recognizing him as a man. It's bypassing his identity.

3. The white LGBT+ community not recognizing the support that disabled or POC of the community need. It's really annoying to have my lgbt+ white friends unanimously go "what are gay black people complaining about we're all gay" or something like that. Like yes but they as POC have additional obstacles.

4. Religious infringement upon our bodily autonomy and human rights, as well as an overall silence by religious "allies" when a religious institution or official attacks or proposes a damaging bill/law/restriction on LGBT+ members.

Yes I realize not ALL who are religious hate LGBT+ people, but to be silent when we're getting our rights violated is to accept the violation and from that, it is to support the action. Speak up and hold your own accountable.

Think the Salvation Army, yes not all who volunteer are doing so with ill intention, but the Salvation Army has a dirty history of attempting to hurt LGBT+ people and support hateful groups. Don't defend these guys, it makes you part of the problem and an aid to them.

Besides the lack of respect from the world?

Fights between groups. (I.e. some lesbian hates bisexuals or a drag queen hates trans people etc).

Trans people lagging behind as far as acceptance goes from everyone else. Usually due to misunderstandings, fear mongering, or misuse of the terminology.

Trump, Pence, and anyone with their views.

Alternative groups who don't belong in the lgbt+ trying to include themselves, usually drawing extremely negative attention from members and nonmembers. Ex: Pedophiles or other wrong fetishes, or alternative lifestyles like polygamy/swingers.

I'll echo what others have said : acceptance within the community. I was once told that my being pansexual just means I'm a whore by a gay man, who I thought was a friend. There's a separate stigma we face, being pansexual or bisexual.

I think that trans/gender guild people face the most problems. Most people are pretty indifferent towards homosexuality, bisexuality etc these days.

Them being judged by their sexual preference.

I'm southern baptist. I can say I honestly care less what someone's sexual preference is. Everyone deserves to be happy. I'm honestly not sure how to fix it as specifically in my religion it's a sin.

Side note: no need to tell me how you don't believe in God,bible ,etc. I don't care what you believe in and respect that as you should do the same for me.

Internal tensions in the community. I've noticed a lot of people aren't terribly understanding of the struggles of those that don't fit into their particular subgroup. I've seen a lot of transphobia from gay friends, white LGBT people dismiss the extra struggles POC in the community face, there are definitely LGBT people who don't believe in asexuality, etc. We all need to do better at listening to each other.
