What do I do??

Alright sooo I have a thing with this guy and he's great and really nice however he is very timid and is taking forever to actually make a move to take anything further and he is not physical at all. The way I met this guy was through his friend who I have known for quite a while. His friend and I have had a thing in the past and he's very charming but a player. The guy I have a thing with is gone on a trip for a month without any contact. His friend just asked me to come over and do stuff with him and I really really want to because I crave the physical attention that I am not receiving at the moment but I just don't know what to do...
