Sex & different birth controls

Okay girls well I'm sexually active and so I'm interested in getting nexplanon but for the time being for the next week or so the doctor gave me the progesterone mini pill and said I probably shouldn't have sex until seven days after I got my implant. However, that's about 2-3 weeks from now. My boyfriend and I did it this morning and probably will again. We always double check the condom to make sure that there's no tears and no leanings. There wasn't as always. (I've only been having sex for about 3 weeks so we're kind of like rabbits). Btw I started the pills yesterday and have been super emotional today. Any thoughts?
