beach?

Question

How do you guys feel about bringing baby to the beach? I've heard sunscreen shouldn't be used before 6 months and I definitely wouldn't be ok with putting her in the water yet so I'm not sure about it.... I have the summer infant pop n play with a canopy I could use, or I could get a tent but I'm worried about keeping her cool. Sad to sit this summer out...we live near the jersey shore (south jersey, not Snooki territory) so it's a big part of summer.

I took my little one to the beach around 7 weeks. She LOVED it.  I didn't use sunscreen but I stayed under the shade and made sure to wait until after 330PM so it wasn't the hottest. We've been to the beach a few times since ☺

I have a 5 year old and is on summer break from school and my husband and I don't want to keep her trapped indoors all summer so we do plan on doing a beach trip....I have a baby canopy and I'm going to do my best to keep her protected while sister makes sand castles lol

I brought mine to the beach at 8 weeks, but she was always under the umbrella or wrapped in a muslin blanket including her head. She was never in the sand or water since she was so little. Plus we weren't outside for more than an hour or two.
