Moving to New Zealand

Hello!  My husband and I will be moving to New Zealand in a few months. His company is relocating him just south of Auckland for two years. When we get down there we'll be looking for a place to rent. Any recommendations on where to look?  I will be a stay at home mom so I'd love to be close to parks, shops, etc. Right now we're looking into One Tree Hill, Royal Oak, Onehunga, Three Kings area because I think I'd like being so close to Cornwall park. Any thoughts, recommendations, advice??  Anything else i need to know about moving there?  We're very much looking forward to this adventure!!
