IUD & Implant help

I'm on the Nuva ring right now but I'm thinking about changing to the implant or IUD. I can't get the implant right now because my parents don't know I'm on birth control so I'd wait for fall/winter to do it (because of the bruising). The IUD however, I can just go get it myself, but I'm scared about the whole inserting experience and the chances of getting pregnant with it (my boyfriend has 2 aunts that got pregnant while using the IUD).
