where to get baby blankets? crib bedding?

I found my crib bedding set with my daughter to be a waste. Stock up on fitted sheets and blankets. They won't use the decorative comforter that comes with the set for quite some time. I'm going to use it on her toddler bed now (two years later) but it's one of the things I realized wasn't worth the money.

If you have a Burlington Coat Factory... they sell very cheap baby items. If not then, Walmart has some decent bedding.

I was very surprised by the expensive sets. I did register for one that's $125 and the matching mesh liner is about $30. The thing is, you don't really need anything bedding wise for the crib except for a fitted sheet. Target has a line of fitted crib sheets for $9.99 in a ton of colors and patterns. I added a bunch of them to the registry. As for blankets like minky ones or receiving blankets, you can get those in 3 packs doe pretty cheap. The soft blankets are sold usually by themselves but Walmart will often have them marked down to $5 on clearance.
