vaginal odor after sex

So I've Started to realize that after sex even after I shower I have terrible vaginal odor. It's absolutely disgusting and it happens even after I clean myself. Why is this? It last for a week sometimes and I hate it. It's embarrassing!! What can be the cause and what can I do to prevent it.
