ovulation after nursing!!

So once you stop nursing does your ovulation return right away or how does it work? I haven't nursed for almost 3 months I have had two periods already and were trying to get pregnant this is our second month and I wiped and there was some light pink and cramping so I know my period is on it's way, my problem is is we get pregnant fast so I don't know if I'm not ovulating or what's going on! Any input would be awesome tia!!
