My Mother lives next door to us, and our farm is out behind her house. Easiest way is to go through her yard, and she doesn't care. When her and her soon to be ex husband were together, my husband would make me stay on the phone with him because he was worried my mothers husband would do something because rather than confront my husband about their differences, her husband took it out on me. Now they split up. But he keeps low key threatening everyone, the last one being today telling my Mom "she'll regret it". He's unstable. Very bipolar and he owns guns. I own a .22, but I worry. The other day he threatened to kill himself, cops were called, since I live next door to my Mom I keep an eye on her place while she's gone. Could I get a restraining order? I've had constant anxiety since they split in April. I can't sleep for more than four hours, and I've had enough of feeling like he will show up on a coked out fit and that'll be the end of it. Or am I being overly paranoid?
