VBAC?!

Maddie
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL VBAC?! I finally "talked" my doc into letting me try for VBAC but she says only if I go into labor on my own. She checked for dilation, said I wasn't dilated any still but supper supper soft. I'm 37 weeks today. She kept my date with labor and delievery for scheduled csection, but says if my body goes into labor before then and no complications I can have natural

I'm clueless about why some drs do what they do but I had a vbac with my second. I was induced at 41 weeks due to low fluids. I was put on petocin along with a foley bulb. I was already 3 cm at the time. In labor for 13 hrs and pushed him out with a small tear. I would prefer that over a c section anytime.

I choose to have a repeat section because my doctor said I'm not a good candidate for VBAC.  My first never passed station -1.   That being said my friend just had a VBAC. She didn't dilate for the first one and the second she dialted on her own.  I don't think she did anything different.  It just worked out for her.  Good luck.
