Rolling Over in Sleep?

Question

My 6 month old had just recently gotten the hang of rolling from back to stomach and now he's rolling over in his sleep and waking himself up. When does this stop?! We've moved in back into his rock n play after he was used to his crib because he was getting no sleep.

Put him to sleep on his belly he probably prefers it which is why he's rolling but then scares himself. Mine has been on his belly since before he could even roll and he sleeps the whole night doesn't move. He could roll over both ways by 4months too.

My guy has been doing this since 4.5 months. Eventually they will learn to put themselves back to sleep, however it does make getting to sleep a lot longer as they will roll around until they're exhausted lol

My son is doing this too! He's a master at rolling from back to tummy. And he does it in his sleep now and he won't fall back asleep. SOMETIMES he will. But usually it wakes him up. I try to keep him from doing it but then I feel like I'm preventing him from learning haha.

Just read in The Happy Sleeper book to roll them back over gentle so they can learn to roll over themselves

Haha! We had this for a couple nights too, and I asked the same question...

But they DO learn to roll back over eventually, just give them some time to practice 😉 We let our baby play on a mat on the floor and so he gets plenty of practice time in. Once he mastered it, he no longer needed us to help at night. He also got used to sleeping on his belly and prefers to sleep that way now!
