Major Birth Control Recall
*I'm not on birth control but I just saw this recall and wanted to let everyone know just in case this affects you.*
The recall is in Mibelas 24 Fe oral contraceptives. They are from Lot No. L600518 and have a expiration date of 5/31/2018. No adverse events or unwanted pregnancies have been reported yet.
What happened was that the blister packs were rotated 180 degrees accidentally. This caused the placebo pills to be placed at the beginning of the pack instead of the end. Anyone who's on birth control can understand why that's a big deal, since taking them out of order can lead to a pregnancy.
The National Drug Code for the individual pack is 68180-911-11 and the NDC for the three wallet packs is 68180-911-13. If you have one of these recalled packs, contact your doctor and return the pills to your pharmacy. You can all 1-800-399-2561 for questions.
