Are there more or less side effects with the patch or the pill?

So I'm about to ask my doctor about switching from the pill to the patch. I've been on the pill for 4 years now and am starting to have trouble remembering to take it regularly. My only real concern is if there will be a change in side effects because I take the pill mainly for hormone imbalances. Thanks for your help!

It depends on you really. Some women perfer the patch because they don't get side effects, other are the opposite. The patch is hormonal birth control so it'll have similar side effects. Talk to your doctor about it and trying it out can't hurt anyways. If you end up hating it then you can try something else or go back to the pill.
