I was never told to stay away.

I had full sugar coke & even a lucosade when I wasn't feeling well. Baby was fine not affected at all. I had terrible dizzy and shakes sometimes and it was what I needed. Especially when I hardly ate due to sickness

No.  At least not anything that is going to be ongoing.  I'm totally a soda addict and the doctor told me no.  Haven't touched it since finding out I'm pregnant.  Water water water.  Infuse fruits into your water.  Aspartame is being in estivated for causing cancer. You don't want fake crap being part of the building blocks of your child.

My doctor told me no diet soda and to not drink coke. Of course once in awhile is fine, but I'd stay away from diet.
