shaving tips?

I've shaved my pubic area a few times but I ALWAYS get razor bumps. I shave downward but I hate that I can never get a close shave that way. I've tried using soap & conditioner but none seem to do the trick. any tips?

Make sure you are using a clean,sharp razor, exfoliate, and use a good shaving cream. Coochie cream is awesome, it helps.

I shave down first and then super carefully shave up little by little, and then I put tea tree oil on and then lotion when the tea tree oil dries, I never get razor burn!

Exfoliate first, make sure you are using a really sharp clean razor, preferably one with multiple blades, and then dab the area with rubbing alcohol when you are done.
