hey all. i recently was referred to a high risk ob because my babe was measuring small, in the 20th percentile. last week thursday at 33w 4d, she weighed 4lb 5oz. yesterday was my ultrasound with the high risk dr, they arent concerned about her size as shes still gaining weight.. 4lb 12oz at 34w 3d, still 20th percentile. but they are concerned about my placenta. ob called my placenta "nasty", meaning level 3 calcified and aged, the equivalent of a +40w placenta. doctor ordered two non stress tests a week, and if i fail one ill need a biophysical profile at the hospital. i have an appointment with my regular ob tomorrow for a NST and to see what he thinks.. but ive never heard of this before and im wondering if anyone has been through it. did you get to deliver vaginally? did they let you go past 38w? thanks in advance!
