College English
Hi!! So I'm starting my first official year of college this fall and I have a question regarding my English assignments. I am a very strong writer and have always done extremely well on essays and research papers. Even though it's not even July, my professor has emailed most of the writing assignments with some guidelines. The major guideline is the word count. I am very bad at word counts when it's only a 300 limit. I tend to be very wordy and my English teachers in the past have limits, but never did anything when I exceeded them. Any tips on how to not exceed these limits?? Also, since I have most of my assignments already with guidelines and all, should I go ahead and start them? Some aren't due until September, but by then I'll also have a job and three other classes to worry about. I feel like I should, but I'm also a little skeptical since he might give more guidelines closer to the due date. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
