I'm doing a fancy dress walk for The Childrens Hospital Charity. Please help out by sponsoring me.

The reason I chose this charity is because my daughter was 8 weeks old when she developed a condition called Pyloric Stenosis. Which is a swelling of the pipe between the stomach and bowel, it causes projecting vomiting, complete loss of bowel movement and eventually starvation and develops around 6-8weeks old.

She became very ill very quickly and only put on 3oz(0.03kg) in 4 weeks. She was admitted to my local hospital(Grimsby Princess Diana of Wales) when she vomited blood, I was told on the Friday she had a milk allergy "go home, try this milk and come back in a few weeks" .

On the Monday we saw the health Vistor  and she had lost weight. The hospital weren't very keen to see her, however we insisted to be seen. Later on that day a doctor told us she may have pyloric stenosis, how ever they could only provide a feed test; a feed test is where they watch her stomach as she eats to see if it's straining where the swelling is, and was put on a drip. The 2nd doctor said it looks likely but she'll need a scan.

After days of waiting, she was then transferred to Sheffield Children's Hospital. Then next morning(Thursday) the surgeon said she definitely has Pyloric Stenosis, but will send her for a scan to benifits the students and will have an emergency operation first thing in the morning proving her bloods were good.

So on good Friday she had her operation first thing in the morning. Everything went very well, she had key hole surgery, was discharged the next morning and is left with 2 scars.

She is now 4 months old, 14lb, back to normal baby weight and growing beautifully. She is back to her bright sunshine self.

The charity also did fun activities for the older children on Easter Sunday which cheered them all up.

If it wasn't for donations to The Children's Hospital Charity, I fear my little princess may not have been here with us today.

Please help if you can to save children's lives who may be in worse situations than my daughter was.
