1 month old will only sleep when held?

My husband thinks I'm spoiling him and I need to let him cry it out but I feel he's too young for that. Is it too early to be trying to get him to sleep on his own? Advice on getting him to do so.

Try wrapping a t shirt around your baby that smells like you. But crying it out for a one month old is not ok. They need to be held. They are saying now you cant spoil a baby.
My daughter is 3 months and i hold her alot and she is good in her swing floor time and going to bed on her own.
