so does anyone think this would be too hot for baby to wear going home from the hospital in the summer of August ?

It depends on your trip...if you are going from a.c. at the hospital to a.c. in the car to a.c. at home then you are probably okay. If you are going to be outside or in a hot vehicle you may want to think differently.

They say that babies should wear double of what we are wearing so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hot, it looks light especially if your going from air conditioned car to air conditioned house. I plan on bringing my baby home in a onesie and light pants.

I feel the same. Due at end of July in tx!! I got mine a hat and a gown(long sleeve) he was lol not be wrapped up in a blanket though
