is it okay to give your 6 months old baby chocolate?

Sara is 6 months now and she reach out to almost everything i eat. The other day i had ice cream and she was just starring at me and i felt bad so i gave her some and she absolutely loved it. Today my uncle came to visit and brought some chocolates for her, even before she taste it, she got obsessed with the package, anyway i ate some and gave her a lil, so i wanted to know if it is okay for her plus if it is, than how much can she have?

Seriously? No. You can't give babies and kids everything they want. It's up to you to make responsible decisions for your kids. I don't even let my 3 year old have candy and chocolates.

I don't know why you would though. The earlier you introduce refined sugar to them the earliwr they will begin to look for the sweet in food. It will be a be even harder to convince her to eat vegetables.

And baby's are naturally curious. You could hold up the toilet paper roll and they will want to get a hold of it.

It won't hurt them. But isn't really good for them bc of sugar and caffiene (some kids are more sensitive then others).

Do what you feel is best, but chocolate has caffeine in it and can mess their sleep up, or keep them awake. They are more sensitive to the caffeine

I'm a pretty strong believer in not giving babies sugar... They don't need it. Also kids can have good allergies. My three year old is actually allergic to chocolate.  Everyone says "poor kid" but since I don't give my kids that stuff he doesn't know what he's missing. Sugar increases adrenaline, which mimics hyperactivity. And you also naturally crash from adrenaline. And that feels shitty. So I just wouldn't. Even if she reaches for it and cries. I'm sure you've seen those bratty kids in the super market crying for candy. That's how it starts. A baby I was a nanny for would say coke coke when she wanted something to drink because all her mother gave her was soda and milk. Her teeth were bad and she was cranky all the time. It was very hard changing those unhealthy habits.

It's fine if it's just a small amount, and obviously not all the time. Babies are small, so a little sugar goes a long way with them. But a little treat here and there is fine :)

Just becareful on the size of stuff you give her . My son started liking my food around 5-6 months and i only gave him baby bites . He totally skipped the toddler food and went straight to big kid foods.

I'd say also be careful on the size of the piece you give her. When I was pretty young my grandad gave me a piece and I almost choked because as it melted in my mouth and with the amount of the saliva it got stuck in my throat and they basically had to shove their hand in my mouth to get it unstuck x
